Amazon has introduced the term "product readiness". It is a simply check list that will help you decide if the product is ready to be advertised or not.
Step 1: Product title. The product tittle should be between 50 and 100 characters. Over 40% of purchase on Amazon are made with phone, so you optimized headline is a must. Some researches suggests that 80 charters is the sweet spot for most phone screen sizes.
Step 2: Description & Bullet Points. Each product ideally should have five bullet points, emphasizing it benefits and case uses. The total number of characters should be bellow 500.
Step 3: Images. Professional high quality images are one of the most important aspects of product detail page. The main product image should be on white clear background. The rest should include product features and lifestyle shots.
Step 4: Customer reviews. To be retail ready an ASIN should have at least 15 customer reviews.
Step 5: Star rating. For better conversion rate your product should have minimum of 3.5 star rating.
Step 6: Inventory. Make sure you have enough inventory to serve the increase in demand. Amazon will penalize you if you go often out of stock with lower ranking of the ads and increase in CPC.
Step 7: Buy box. Ensure you are winning the buybox so your ads get credited for the purchases.
