8. With such important information that you can glean at a glance on this report from Amazon per ASIN, you are able to make informed decisions on each ASIN individually when it comes to:
- Recognising ASINs with poor sell-through rates and identifying whether these should be discontinued on Amazon (perhaps they don’t translate well online), or whether a marketing campaign should be investigated to boost their sales, or whether you need to re-evaluate the content of this product on Amazon’s front-end (perhaps you need a better title, or improved bullet-points, or a more detailed and lavish product description, or better images or even a video or an A+ page;
- How many sellable on hand units Amazon has in their facility for each ASIN, which you can then factor into your forecasting and planning models as you won’t need to order more units of an ASIN if Amazon predicts consumers will purchase 15 units for example in the next 26 weeks but Amazon has 87 units in their Fulfillment Centers.
- How many unsellable on-hand units Amazon has in their Fulfillment Centers and whether you would like them returned or discarded by Amazon.
- Aged ASINS that just don’t seem to be moving at all from Amazon. Would you like these returned to you so you can sell them to other retailers and distributors whose sales are doing better; or would you like to discontinue them as they are not selling well on Amazon, or would you like to investigate marketing and advertising campaigns instead for them, or an update to their content and images on Amazon.
9. With all these options available to you and with all this information at hand, you can greatly enhance your product catalog to Amazon, ensuring that you only end up selling them product that actually translates well on Amazon and does well on Amazon.
