- To make business negotiated pricing available to a customer, you need to add the customer to your negotiated pricing customer list in Vendor Central. To add a new business customer:
- Select “Negotiated Pricing” under the under the “Merchandising” tab on the top menu.
- If it’s your first time using this feature, you will be prompted to enter your Vendor name that your Amazon Business customers will see. Once you’ve done this, you will not be asked to do it again. You will not be able to change the name once you’ve confirmed it.
- Click “Add customer”.
- Enter the customer’s Business ID and confirm that this is the right business.
- If you don’t have the customer’s Business ID, click on the “Where do I find this” link for instructions.
- The customer will then appear in your customer list on the Business Negotiated Pricing page.
- You can manage business negotiated pricing in Vendor Central by uploading pricing spreadsheets.
- Once you’ve negotiated prices for specific products with a customer, you need to upload a pricing spreadsheet to Vendor Central for the customer’s approval.
2. To add a new pricing spreadsheet:
- Select “Negotiated Pricing” under the under the “Merchandising” tab on the top menu.
- Click “Add negotiated pricing” for the relevant customer.
- If you haven’t already, download the blank template and fill in the required information in the spreadsheet. Additional help on filling in the template is available in the spreadsheet.
- Upload the completed spreadsheet.
- Submit.
- Amazon’s system first validates the pricing spreadsheet and if there are errors you can download the spreadsheet to see details on the errors.
- If there are no errors, Amazon will provide rebates for your approval.
- Once you’ve approved the rebates, the pricing spreadsheet will need to be approved by the customer.
- Note that customers will be able to purchase the products at the negotiated prices on the pricing start date only if they have approved the prices.
3. To view the status of a pricing spreadsheet, view validation warnings or errors, approve the rebates, or upload new pricing information, under Negotiated Pricing, click on “View negotiated pricing” for the relevant customer.
- From the customer page, you can view the status of each submission.
- You can also download and approve the rebate spreadsheet that Amazon will provide for your approval.
- If you wish to edit any negotiated pricing, customers will need to first confirm any new prices.
- Changes will usually take place within two business days after the customer’s confirmation.
- If you decide to stop offering your negotiated pricing on Amazon, Amazon will notify the customer of your intent to stop offering negotiated pricing and give the customer an opportunity to reach out to you to discuss.
- The negotiated pricing in place on the day you provide this notification to Amazon will remain buyable by the applicable customers during this period, which usually lasts 45 days after Amazon receives your notification.
