- Small Parcel, LTL and FTL are terms used to explain the size of your shipment with Amazon.
- Small Parcel refers to individual cartons that end up being floor loaded on the back of a truck and shipped to an Amazon Fulfillment Center. Each of these cartons must have its own individual tracking number supplied by the carrier itself and each of these carton tracking numbers must appear on the Advanced Shipment Notification and be mapped to an AMZNCC.
- LTL means “Less than Truckload” and typically refers to a shipment that fills less than 50% of a 53 foot trailer. Freight is consolidated by the carrier before moving to its destination.
- FTL means “Full Truckload” and typically refers to a shipment that fills more than 50% of a 53 foot trailer. Freight is again consolidated by the carrier before moving to its destination.
