- Amazon may request to return your products if they are overstocked or damaged.
- When they have a product to return to you, you will receive an Amazon-initiated Return Request.
- Your return requests will be in one of the following states:
4. You can view your return requests in Vendor Central by selecting “Returns” from the Drop-Down Menu of the “Orders” tab on the top menu of Vendor Central.
5. The Returns page lists your return requests with the below information and the default view shows the first 1-25 requests. The default setting shows only new requests.
6. Click the “Show Search” to search for approved or closed requests.
7. You will be able to download the requests by clicking the “Download as Excel Spreadsheet” button at the bottom of the table displayed.
8. Complete this spreadsheet, which will contain the following fields:
- Request ID: The unique Identifier for a return request. Click on it to see item-level detail for the request.
- Vendor Code: Your vendor code with Amazon, specific to the request.
- Request Type: Describes the condition of items in the request, if they are sellable or not (damaged).
- Condition: This is the status of the request. It describes if the request is new, approved, or closed.
- Requested Quantity: The quantity of product that Amazon would like to return.
- Approved Quantity: The quantity of product that you agree to accept in the return.
- Requested Refund: The amount Amazon requests be remitted to them for the return.
- Approved Refund: The amount you agree to remit to Amazon for the return.
- Next Automated Action: The next action the system will take based on the return status.
- Warehouse: The Amazon fulfillment center where the return will originate.
- Authorization ID: The character string that you create to identify the return.
9. Once completed, return to the Returns page and click the “Bulk Authorization” button at the top of the page.
10. On the next page, click the “Choose File” button, locate your spreadsheet, select it and then click the “Upload File” button to upload your authorizations.
