- When an Amazon customer orders a product you've set up as direct Fulfillment, Amazon will notify you and provide a pre-paid shipping label.
- It is imperative that you follow the procedure correctly so as to avoid any Chargebacks related to fulfilling Direct Fulfillment Orders.
- If you're unable to fulfill an entire direct Fulfillment order, cancel the order.
- Partially filled orders are not permitted.
- To fulfill a direct Fulfillment order, selected the “Direct Fulfillment Orders” from the Drop-Down Menu of the “Orders” Tab on your Top Menu of Vendor Central.
- Select your order on the next page and print the packing slip and/or gift message (if applicable).
- Prepare and package your product for shipment in accordance with the Direct Fulfillment Program Policies so that it will arrive safely to the Amazon customer.
- You can adjust the quantity of packages Amazon assigns to you by going to the order details and clicking “Edit” in the “Shipment configuration” section.
- Depending on the size of your product, you may want to ship in multiple packages or combine multiple products into a single package.
- Print the shipping label and attach it to the shipment.
- If you use shipping labels provided by Amazon, click “Print shipping label”.
- If you print your own shipping labels (not provided by Amazon), then you must provide Amazon with the tracking ID.
- Contact the carrier and arrange for the package to be picked up. After the order has been picked up by the carrier, click “Confirm shipment”.
- Clicking “Confirm shipment” before the order has been picked up by the carrier can negatively impact your direct fulfillment metrics so only confirm the shipment once your carrier has left your warehouse with it.
