Direct Fulfillment Returns route customer returns directly to your warehouse rather than processing the return at the fulfillment center and then forwarding the product to your returns location. Amazon shares the customer return reason and links the return to the original customer order.
To process a shipment that is returned to you:
- Confirm receipt of goods within 24 hours of receiving it.
- Select “Direct Fulfillment Returns” from the Drop-Down Menu of the “Orders” tab on the top menu of Vendor Central.
- Select the return that matches the reference number in the item's shipping label.
- If you have multiple Direct Fulfillment warehouses, the return will automatically go back to the outbound warehouse.
- If you would like all returns to go to a single location, select “Return Addresses” from the Drop-Down Menu of the “Settings” tab on the top menu of Vendor Central enter your default address for returns.
- If the default address is already set, Amazon will automatically route all returns to that location.
- If you receive an incorrect return, confirm receipt of the return and then click on the “Support” link at the top of the Vendor Central Page.
- Click the “Contact Us” button at the bottom of the page.
- Select “Problems with Returns” from the Drop-Down Menu of the “Direct Fulfillment” subject.
- Amazon will provide you a shipping label and request for you to send it back with all original packaging and labelling.
- To correct the debit against your account, open a dispute via Dispute Management, using the Return ID (which may take a few days to populate on the Direct Fulfillment Returns Page).
- Amazon will automatically debit your account according to your vendor agreement.
- You can review the specific return debit by selecting “Direct Fulfillment Return Invoices” from the Drop-Down Menu of the “Payments” tab on the top menu of Vendor Central.
- All customer returns linked to previously fulfilled orders will populate the Direct Fulfillment Returns page.
- Each return will display its current status, for example: unshipped, shipped, delivered and received.
