- From the Drop-Down Menu of the Items tab on the top menu, select “Add Products”.
- On the next page you will then select the categories you would like to list your products under.
- If your product type isn't listed, it may require approval, be restricted, or your application for it is under review.
- In this instance, list your product under the remaining categories that are suitable that you can list products under and contact Amazon directly through your cases to ask them when and how you can list in the particular category you are currently not able to.
- You can also remove a category at the bottom of this pop up block if you accidentally ticked one and make sure to review your chosen categories in the bottom cell before clicking “continue”.
- You can then enter the product IDs (ASIN, UPC, EAN, or GTIN) into the block below the category button to see how many of these products are already listed with Amazon by clicking the “Submit” button thereafter.
- The products that are already listed on Amazon using the Product IDs you inserted will appear on the right side of the page.
- You can then select which products you wish to add and click the “Submit and Continue” button to the right of the page.
- If your products do not show up for you to select, you can then rather add your products via the single or multiple product NIS or New Item Setup Sheet (see below).
- On the next page, you would then proceed to complete all information as it pertains to the product under each tab heading, namely:
- Supplier Description – here would input your Supplier Code with Amazon and your own SKU number for the product you are listing.Note that you would need to then relist your product under each individual Supplier Code you have if you have more than just the one and it is faster and easier to download a spreadsheet of all the products you list and simply input the new Supplier Code for each of these; and then upload the entire spreadsheet onto Vendor Central. We will discuss the bulk uploads and editing of products in another video.
- Product Identity – Your product title, brand name, any particular reason why the product is exempt from having a UPC or EAN if applicable, as well as the variation theme if you will end up creating variations for this product as mentioned previously.
- Pricing – this is where you will put the cost that Amazon will purchase the product from you at and remember this is your ex-warehouse cost plus the agreement percentages and additional buffer covers; and then your list price or MSRP.
- Safety and Compliance – which covers country of origin, the California Proposition 65 mentioned previously, import information, whether the product contains liquids or batteries, warranty information and other information pertaining to material and cautionary statements.
- Product Details – this is where you put in your product title, product description, model information, material type, size of item, number of items, search terms, replaced item ID if applicable, department, manufacturer part number, model number, bullet points, style name, components and a variety of other information that is category specific, as well as the release date on Amazon and seasonality if the product is seasonal.
- Shipping – this will have the dimensions and weights of your product in and out of its packaging and inner pack and master case information.
