- A set or bundle is more than one single unit packaged together as a single sellable unit.
- An example of which could possibly be as follows: you currently sell a pot and pan separately as single sellable units but you are finding that more and more consumers are buying the pot at the same time that they buy the pan and vice versa.
- You may then wish to sell both of these products as a set or a bundle. It is now important to note that the following will need to be created for this new single sellable unit:
- A new SKU code for the pot + pan set;
- A new UPC or EAN for the pot + pan set;
- New packaging container with new dimensions and weights now that both products are packaged together in one package;
- A new Inner Pack and Master Case Configuration;
- New Cost and MSRP;
- New Product Title, description, bullet points; and
- New Images and Videos.
4. Basically, you are creating a whole new ASIN as well as its variations if you sell the pot and pan in different colours and sizes.
5. Set creation is then applied by Amazon as proposed in their terms and conditions, which is to ensure all parts of a sellable unit is securely packaged together to prevent separation.
6. Set creation applies to multi-pack items or items with multiple parts to them. The Amazon requirements for set creation are as follows:
- For a set of related items (encyclopedias, for example), make sure they are packaged together.
- For sets of identical products (for example, two bottles of the same shampoo), ensure that they are bundled together.
- Bundle all pieces/parts of a product together (for example, a rubber toilet plunger and its wooden handle).
- Ensure that the product set is bagged, bubble wrapped (if fragile), and/or boxed, and that the barcode label is readable.
7. Once you have prepared your new set or bundle as you would a normal new product listing either singly or via a Spreadsheet NIS Template.
